“Expressionism in Russian Art” continues an ongoing exhibition project on the major styles and movements in Russian art of the 20th century. The exhibition consists of around 350 works created between the 1900s and the mid-1930s. They reflect the spiritual search of Russian people over a few turning points in national history.

DIAGHILEV P.S.” 9TH INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF ARTS

The festival, founded in the year of the 100th anniversary of Sergei Diaghilev’s Les Saisons Russes, annually presents the most symbolic and innovative works of various genres of art, opens up new talents, and promotes the cultural exchange between Russia and other countries. In 2018, the festival will present a special program “PETIPA P.S.” for the 200th anniversary of the birth of Marius Petipa. The festival will be attended by the Vaganova Ballet Academy, the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet, the Royal Swedish Ballet, John Neumeier and the Hamburg Ballet, Ekaterinburg State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater, and the Provincial Dances Theater. During the festival, the new versions of Marius Petipa famous ballets such as “The Nutcracker”, “Giselle”, “Coppélia”, and “Paquita” will be presented.
